Bengali Sweet – Sandesh

Ingredients:

32 oz tub of Ricotta cheese

2 cups of brown sugar

1 or 2 cardamoms

Optional:

2 tbsp Mango pulp

Mewa or milk powder – as needed

Method:

Mix the Ricotta cheese and brown sugar in a pan on stove top. Stir till it is thickened.

Add the cardamom after grinding in a mortar pestle.

Optionally add the mango pulp.

Transfer to a wide bowl with a cover and microwave for 10 mins till thick and set.

Cut into pieces when cool and use milk powder to shape as needed

Decorate with raisins.
