Life presents surprises, catches us unaware Throws viciously into a dungeon of despair It felt like yesterday when we'd met Spending time together, simply great Then came opinions and preferences In spite of warmth, we'd differences We questioned hard "what is at stake?" Do we love the other for our own sake? Absurd are the rules to judge lives Yet nothing is lost if hope thrives All alone in own world of experiences Others can hardly appreciate nuances Regardless of unexpected bend Removing our fear of the end Embracing life as it comes, with care Nothing puts her down if she'll dare.
