Spirituality

This life is a journey. In the beginning, we are so busy taking in the outside world that we forget, we need to explore within.
I found an interesting fable from a friend.

The Creator gathered all of creation and said “I want to hide something from humans until they are ready for it. It is the realization that they create their own reality.”

The eagle said, “Give it to me. I will take it to the moon.” The Creator said, “No. One day they will go there
and find it.:

The salmon said, “I will bury it on the bottom of the ocean.” “No, They will go there too.”

The buffalo said, “I will bury it on the Great Plains.” The Creator said, “They will cut into the skin of the Earth and find it even there.”

Then, Grandmother Mole, who lives in the breast of Mother Earth, and who has no physical eyes but sees only with spiritual eyes, said, “Put it inside of them.”

And the Creator said, “It is done.”

An Indian mystic, Sant Kabir, born in 1398, had a profound impact on many religions ( Hinduism, Islam, Sufism and Sikhism ) practiced in India. His messages were simple and free of prejudice and discrimination. I was influenced by his bhajans (songs in praise of God) that express his thoughts. I will reiterate his words. “Mind is the only barrier between us and the divine. Mind is under a powerful delusion called Maya. When the mind journeys inward it can experience the unity. But Maya diverts it again and again to the material world. Only the name of God can calm the mind. Any time or place is good enough to experience the divine. Call him and he will answer!” In ancient Indian literature, the Vedas, it is said ” Ekam sat bipra bahuda badanti – The truth is one, the wise say it differently.” and ” Hari Om tat sat- The name of God is the one Truth.”
